Emmerdale fans were left distracted on Thursday night as they recognised Dr Caitlin Todd during a special hospital focused episode.

During the latest episode, young doctor in training Jacob Gallagher did a shift in A&E where he was alarmed to see a young woman rushed in who had been stabbed.

Jacob didn’t see the patient’s face but he discovered their purse, where he soon realised it was missing April Windsor’s, and he feared the worse, letting April’s worried parents Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk know the news.

It wasn’t long until they rushed to hospital but soon their worst fears came true as the surgeon operating on the patient revealed they had passed away during surgery.

Her voice is so familiar #emmerdale” while a different fan added: “Recognise that doctor from something #Emmerdale.”
