Emmerdale spoilers reveal a huge twist for Tom King amid the ongoing Belle Dingle abuse storylines, as it’s reported three huge characters are set to quit the soap
Emmerdale has revealed some major developments this week in the Tom King (James Chase) and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) abuse storyline, as the cracks have started to show. Tom’s behaviour has come to light with Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell), just as Tom was raising the idea of the two of them moving away together.
It looks like the police are finally about to catch up to villain Tom, as they’ve built up enough evidence to potentially see him behind bars once and for all, the moment viewers have been waiting months for. After Belle Dingle’s return, next week she might finally see Tom pay for his crimes, as the police look set to arrest him once more.
Tom can’t help himself but commit yet another crime by breaking into Charity’s home while Belle is upstairs in the bath. He discreetly steals one of Belle’s tops and is Belle is later visibly confused when she spots Amelia wearing it.
Later, Amelia is shaken as a furious Tom cruelly berates her over the situation with Belle. Tom forcefully marches Amelia out of the house but is spotted by his uncle Jimmy. DS Foy also arrives on the scene to take Tom in for questioning.
Tom’s downfall comes after it was announced that major faces would be leaving the ITV soap. One of the confirmed cast to be leaving was Daisy, who plays Tom’s ‘new partner’ Amelia. Opening up about her departure to The Mirror, Daisy, who’s final scenes will be aired at Christmas said: “It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I’ve spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.”
“Once they explained, I totally got it. Amelia isn’t part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn’t have any family. There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age.”
Brenda Walker, played by Lesley Dunlop, is also reported to be leaving the show after 16 years, while Roxy Shahidi is also rumoured to be leaving her role as Leyla Harding.
It’s been a tough time for Brenda on the soap, as she went through a relationship crisis with her boyfriend, Eric Pollard following his tragic Parkinson’s disease.
The star first joined the soap in 2008, with an already established television career, having featured on huge shows including Doctor Who and Where The Heart is.
