New Year in Albert Square is set to be a huge deal for Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), as they plan to finally tie the knot in EastEnders.
The couple have had a difficult journey up to this point, and with evil Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) lurking in the dark corners of the Square, things are certainly set to be dramatic as the big day approaches.
For Eve, her wedding to Suki marks a brand new start for the couple, as actress Heather Peace revealed.
‘She’s the love of her life, and it’s the start of forever for Eve,’ she explained.
‘The start of forever with a clear road, and no lies. It’s a dream come true, definitely.’
Unfortunately, things may not be set to go as smoothly as the couple would like, despite Heather’s jokes…
‘It will all be completely plain sailing because that’s how Walford weddings always go! [Laughs],’ she teased.
In recent scenes, Suki was left with cold feet after learning that Nish had been spotted in Walford.
Terrified that her family were in danger, she considered cancelling the wedding, but a conversation with Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) left her determined to go through with it.
On Monday night’s episode, Suki and Eve head to Harry’s Barn for their hen do, unaware that Nish is lurking in the shadows, waiting for his chance to ruin everything.
Fortunately, Heather has promised that among all the ‘chaos’, there is ‘love’ and ‘romance’ ahead for Suki and Eve.
Tomorrow, the residents of Albert Square come out in force to celebrate Suki and Eve saying ‘I do’, but will everything go to plan, or does Nish have something sinister up his sleeve?
Will Suki and Eve finally be able to call themselves wives?
