Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher has given a huge career announcement, three years after he bought a 120-acre farm and moved to the Peak District with his family
Former Strictly Come Dancing winner Kelvin Fletcher has made a huge career announcement, much to the delight of his fans. Having moved to the stunning Peak District in 2021 after buying a 120-acre farm, Kelvin has given fans a peek inside his new lifestyle as part of the ITV show Fletchers’ Family Farm.
And now, in news that is sure to please TV viewers, the show has officially been recommissioned for a second series, meaning that they can expect to see plenty more heartwarming moments from Kelvin, 40, his wife Liz and their four children, Marnie, Milo, and twins, Mateusz and Maximus.
With Kelvin swapping his time on the Emmerdale film set for the picturesque farm, the new series will follow the family as they welcome a herd of pregnant cows to their farm. As well as this, it will show the Fletchers as they navigate lambing season – something which can be an incredibly intense period for farmers.
“We’re incredibly excited to return to filming for the second series of Fletchers’ Family Farm. The response from our viewers has been truly heartwarming and inspiring!,” said Kelvin as he shared the news. Meanwhile wife Liz added: “It’s a genuine honour to invite the viewers back to our farm as we continue on this journey.”
The upcoming series will span over 10 episodes, with each expected to be one hour long. The show is also being produced by Leeds-based Daisybeck Studios.
“Life on the farm is busier than ever, with new livestock, an increasingly challenging market, and four young children in tow,” explained Ben Harris, the Executive Producer at Daisybeck Studios. “Kelvin and Liz truly have their work cut out for them, and we’ll be there to capture every moment as they face each challenge head-on.”
Back in August, the TV personality revealed that he’d been in the voice over studio as he prepared for the new series. “Busy days in the VO studio getting ready for series 2! We can’t wait for you to see it! #fletchersfamilyfarm,” an Instagram post read.
In response, fans flocked to the comments section to share their excitement about the news. “So looking forward to watching your show love your family, love how down to earth you all are,” wrote one.
“Omg I am so excited to see you all back on. I love your program,” another added. A third wrote: “Love his show, can’t wait for it to start. Came to the Christmas event, what lovely genuine people you are.”
