Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) has an unusual reaction to a drag act on her hen-do in EastEnders next week.
As the most camp woman in Walford, we seriously didn’t expect this – but there seems to be a deep-rooted reason as to why she’s so spooked.
Ahead of her wedding to George Knight (Colin Salmon), the pair are getting ready for their big nights ahead with the hens and the stags.
Grandson Johnny (Charlie Suff) has been working away to make the celebrations perfect, and tells Elaine he’s got a big surprise planned for her.
Elsewhere, Anna (Molly Rainford) has a big ask – she wants her mum Cindy (Michelle Collins) to be invited to the bash… and the wedding.
It isn’t an easy decision to make for Elaine, given just months ago, Cindy was trying to claw back her ex-hubby George. To make matters worse, the pair kissed!
Luckily for Anna, she must be in a forgiving mood, as she reluctantly agrees to add her onto the invite list.
During the stag do at The Boxing Den, Junior (Micah Balfour) and Ian (Adam Woodyatt) get drunk and end up in a long conversation about Cindy. Little does Ian know, after failing to secure the senior Knight fella, she moved onto his son.
Will the affair finally be out in the open?
Back at The Vic, Johnny is thrilled to see the night’s entertainment arrive – it’s a drag queen, leaving Elaine stunned.
The intensity of Johnny and Linda’s (Kellie Bright) questions prove too much and she rushes off. Linda won’t settle until she knows why the performer evoked such a reaction, so she continues to press her mum.
The mother eventually have a heart to heart, with Elaine spilling the truth…
As the week goes on, she decides to make a pre-nuptial agreement in a conversation about her future with George.
Johnny begins to make arrangements, though when George arrives with a thoughtful present for his wife-to-be, his mood is flattened by the mention of the prenup.
What has caused Elaine to make such a decision?
