Police called as a vulnerable EastEnders character is in huge danger

There are worrying times ahead for George Knight’s (Colin Salmon) brother Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) in EastEnders next week when he goes missing.

Recent scenes on the BBC soap saw George meet Kojo, alongside his other brother Kobina (Jonathon Nyati) for the first time.

The trip had been estranged as a result of their parents adopting George out as part of a baby farming agreement in the 1960s. His adoptive mother Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) then begged her husband Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) to do whatever it took to stop him returning home.

Alongside his gang of racist mates, Eddie beat their son’s birth father Henry to death before bundling his body into a suitcase and throwing it into the canal.

The incident was witnessed by a teenage George – although he didn’t know his relation to the man at the time.

Kojo and Kobina were taken aback to learn that he could’ve prevented their dad’s death, and decided to leave.

Later, Kojo, who has autism, was found in the cafe alone by Martin Fowler (James Bye) after wandering off. Clearly distressed by the earlier events, he was taken back to the Queen Vic for safety and stayed the night.

Following that, George’s fiancée Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) had reservations about him staying with them due to his unpredictable behaviour.

In upcoming scenes, things are tense at the pub following a difficult conversation that has left her shaken.

To take their mind off it, George takes his brother for a fun day out – but when they return, Johnny (Charlie Suff) accidentally triggers him and he flies off the handle again.

A heated conversation soon ensues, with Elaine telling her partner outright that they aren’t equipped to manage his needs and he can’t stay – unaware that Kojo has overheard.

George attempts to cool the situation and goes to the kitchen to make him a drink, unaware that he’s slipped out of the front door…

Panic soon spreads when they can’t locate him – and Elaine is blamed for driving him away.

The police are called due to Kojo’s vulnerability, and the next day he wakes up from his hiding place and heads for Walford East tube station.

Luckily, Junior (Micah Balfour) spots him and tries to convince him to come back to the Vic, though he’s adamant that he wants to return to Ghana.

What will Kojo decide?
