EastEnders fans are convinced that Patsy Palmer’s character Bianca Jackson is set to leave Albert Square soon after her sister Sonia Fowler’s recent departure was confirmed
Bianca Jackson is gearing up to say her final farewells to Albert Square.
Lately, poor Bianca’s been having a rough time of it with the aftermath of the Queen Vic fire and being released from the clutches of the villainous Reiss Colwell – who didn’t make it out alive.
Fans are so worried about her that whispers of her battling a significant health issue have started doing the rounds online.
Despite all the drama, Patsy Palmer – who plays the fiery redhead – confirmed she’s done donning the iconic bomber jacket and will be ditching Walford after making a splashy comeback last year.
Over on Instagram, Patsy shared a snap of herself as Bianca parked outside the Queen Vic with a cryptic caption: “Bye bye B. Always grateful to see her again.”
This bombshell dropped just a couple of months following news that Natalie Cassidy, aka Sonia Jackson, will also be exiting stage left from EastEnders.
It ain’t Patsy’s rookie time bidding adieu to the Square either; she first bailed in ’99 after a six-year stint, waltzed back for round two in 2008, and did a whistle-stop tour in 2019, reports Plymouth Live.

Last year saw the return of Bianca to the soap, with a plot focusing on Sonia’s entanglement with Reiss. Drama reached new heights when Bianca was taken hostage by the ruthless Reiss after she stumbled upon his dark secret – he had killed his wife Debbie in hospital.
To protect Sonia, who was falsely accused of the crime, Bianca went as far as recording a fake confession.
The tension between the Jackson sisters exploded in Tuesday night’s episode with a gripping face-off that resulted in Sonia getting slapped by Bianca amidst a heated argument over who endured more pain – Sonia as a mother to Reiss’ child or Bianca terrorized by being held prisoner.
Just days before Patsy Palmer confirmed her exit from ‘EastEnders’, fans were already brewing theories about Bianca’s departure. Over on the r/EastEnders Reddit thread titled “Is Bianca staying for good?”, speculation was rife, with one viewer positing: “I feel like she will leave with Sonia.”
Another chimed in supporting this view, saying: “She’ll leave with Sonia I think although hopefully she will return again in a couple of years. This last stint solidified her as one of my favourite characters.”
After the shocking incidents of the past month, additional fan theories suggest that Bianca might be grappling with severe mental health issues.
On a Reddit channel dedicated to TV show discussions, one user expressed their shock at the storyline: “Bianca is completely traumatised and clearly has PTSD, yet everyone is acting like being kidnapped for 3 months is the most normal thing in the world. It’s really weird. She should be in constant therapy, not having a cup of tea with Sonia.”

Another viewer chimed in, sympathising with the character: “Poor girl. I’m finding it infuriating tbh. She would need near constant support yet she’s been not only left to get on with it, but also expected to adapt to all the constant changes and people in her space, etc.”
A third fan didn’t hold back their opinion on Sonia’s role: “Sonia is such a s*** nurse and sister, I understand she’s going through a lot – how can she not see how much Bianca is struggling? !” And a fourth EastEnders enthusiast added their two cents, criticising the lack of empathy shown by Sonia: “Bianca was kidnapped and held hostage by a murderer, and all Sonia can say is ‘get over it’. Amazing sister!”.
