Michelle Keegan has excited her fans after announcing she is expecting her first baby with husband Mark Wright. The couple, who have been together since 2012 and got married in May 2015, shared the joyous news with their millions of followers on Instagram on Sunday (December 29).
The former Coronation Street actress and TOWIE star, who live in a dream £3.5 million Essex mansion together, told fans ‘2025 is going to be a special one for us…’ as they took to social media.
A gorgeous photo showed the couple on a beach with the sun shining, as Mark, 37, donned a white shirt and trousers whilst the Stockport-born actress, also 37, showed off her blossoming baby boom in a floating two-piece.
Friends, family and fans of the couple were overjoyed by their exciting news, with many rushing to the comments section of their post. Love Island and West End star Amber Davies wrote: The best news ever,” as actress Georgia May said: “Omg congratulations to you both.”
One follower wrote: Awww congratulations,” as another said: “Congrats,” and a third added: “No way!!!!! So happy for you both!.” Another commented: “Oh wow! I hoped this for you both for so long congratulations xx,” as someone else added: “Omggggg congratulations.”
The announcement comes nine years after the couple tied the knot in front of family and friends in St Mary’s Church in Bury St Edmonds. They first met in Dubai back in 2012 while Michelle was playing Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street and Mark was appearing on The Only Way Is Essex.
Nine months later, Mark took Michelle back to Dubai for a romantic holiday, where he popped the question. Mark told The Mirror at the time: “I’ve got now, for the first time in my life, what I’ve always wanted and what every boy dreams of – affection in a relationship, love, best friend, a girl I fancy… everything rolled into one,” reports Hello!.
