Major EastEnders exit confirmed as wickedly cruel move triggers a goodbye

This article contains spoilers for tonight’s EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

Bobby Beale’s (Clay Milner Russell) exit story has finally been confirmed in recent EastEnders scenes following a huge fallout with girlfriend Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) and best friend Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier).

In last night’s episode, Bobby walked in on Anna and Freddie kissing, and it was safe to say that he was completely devastated.

Things only got worse when Bobby discovered that Anna had started the process of having a termination, having recently discovered that she was pregnant with Bobby’s baby.

However, despite the betrayal of her kissing his best friend and hiding her pregnancy, Bobby was willing to give Anna a second chance – something that she confided in scheming Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) about.

Anna revealed that, although she had previously been confused about her feelings, she understood now that she truly loved Bobby, and wanted to be with him.

Of course, Cindy tried her best to persuade her otherwise, though Anna was steadfast in her decision.

Unfortunately, Cindy wouldn’t be Cindy without doing whatever it takes to get what she wants – and that is exactly what she did.

Following her chat with her daughter, Cindy headed home, where she struck up a conversation with Bobby and began to lie through her teeth.

She informed him that Anna had admitted she had feelings for Freddie, and that he would only have his heart broken in the long run should he choose to stay with her in Albert Square.

This prompted Bobby to suggest that he could go and stay with Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) in the Cotswolds, and Cindy was quick to latch onto the idea, encouraging him to start a new life for himself.

Will Bobby go ahead with his plan to move, and what will Anna make of Cindy’s interference?
