ITV Emmerdale’s Tom Sugden’s revenge plan revealed – and Aaron Dingle needs to watch out

SPOILERS: Emmerdale’s John Sugden will vow to get revenge on the villagers next week after arriving on the scene.

John Sugden, the latest addition to Emmerdale, is set to reveal his true colours, and it doesn’t bode well for Aaron Dingle.

Farnworth’s character made a memorable entrance earlier this week.

In a recent episode, Aaron Dingle, portrayed by Danny Miller, was on his way to meet a ‘hook up’ when he was stopped by the enigmatic newcomer John Sugden, whose van had broken down.

The two recognised each other from a dating app and things quickly escalated. After their roadside encounter, Aaron tried to get to know John better, but he remained aloof.

However, while Aaron was away, John took the opportunity to rob him, driving off and leaving Aaron stranded in the countryside without his keys or wallet.

It was later revealed that John is actually the half-brother of Victoria Sugden (played by Isabel Hodgins), as well as the half-brother of Aaron’s ex, Robert (Ryan Hawley).

Later, John arrived in the village to have his van repaired. When Aaron realised who he was, he was furious and confronted him, leading to a fight and a stern warning from John to Aaron.

Next week’s spoilers reveal a dramatic twist in the plot. In Monday’s episode (August 12), John is furious to discover his van has been stolen from the garage and he suspects who might be responsible.

Aaron becomes concerned when it emerges that Mack is behind the theft of the van, and an irate John loses his temper when he spots his van submerged in a lake.

John swears vengeance, but Aaron and Mack are filled with remorse when Victoria discloses that the van was John’s residence. John then leads Aaron on, making him believe there might be something between them.

However, when Aaron attempts to kiss him, it becomes evident that John is merely toying with him, leaving Aaron feeling embarrassed.

Later in the week, Mack tries to intimidate John into leaving the village by taking a swing at him, but John easily deflects the attack with his professional moves.

Cain intervenes, separating Mack and John, and announces that he has offered John a job at the farm while he stays in the village. Vic is thrilled to learn that John will be sticking around for a bit longer.

Meanwhile, Chas encourages Aaron to confide in her about his feelings for John. Later, Vic returns some army dog tags to John, but John is unsettled by her prying into his past.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
