The Emmerdale actress was involved in the limo crash that claimed three villagers lives

Emmerdale star Laura Norton took to social media on Sunday as she shared behind the scenes pictures from the horrific limo crash.

Valentine’s night took a dark turn in the Dales, as residents lives were put at risk as two limos veered off the road in separate instances. However, it was the girls limo (with Liam also inside) that balanced precariously on the frozen lake.

Charity had swerved off the road to avoid hitting her son Noah who was wandering around aimlessly at night on his own. During the aftermath of the crash, the ITV soap revealed three confirmed deaths.

Suzy Merton was the first victim of the tragedy, as she had hit her head during the impact. Her body was submerged with the limo underneath the water after the rest of the group narrowly escaped.

Suzy’s Take a Vow colleague Leyla Harding was the next to succumb to her fate. Leyla was impaled with a piece of glass during the accident, and Kerry had to drag her out of the limo to safety as she couldn’t move. Unfortunately, it was too late to save her as she died before making it to the hospital.

In a heartbreaking scene, her son Jacob who was on shift at Hotten hospital found her in a private room, and he said his final goodbye as he sobbed for his great loss.

The third confirmed death was Amy Barton. She suffered a traumatic experience as she was plunged into the freezing lake water after the ice cracked beneath her feet. While under water, she spotted the body of Nate Robinson floating in the depths.

Although rescued from the water, Amy had severe hypothermia and eventually died from a cardiac arrest in hospital. Before she died, she attempted to tell Matty about Nate under the water, but he failed to understand her before she passed.

Laura Norton who took on the role of Kerry Wyatt in 2012, posted some behind the scenes snaps on her Instagram. She wrote: “A ‘few’ little behind the scenes piccies from our limo crash shoot. Such a brilliant, bonding, bittersweet experience. So unbelievably sad to say goodbye to our girls – what a loss @natalieannjamieson @roxyshahidi @martellee_ so excited to see what you all do next”.

“What a wild ride… Eating 75 meals a night on our night shoots, singing, laughing, crying, crawling across ice and falling into freezing water, twerking to Stormzy in the green room”.

She added: “With a heavy heart I have absolutely loved every second and it’s been a privilege and joy to share the screen with these fabulous, talented, formidable girls @amyvwalsh @missmichellehardwick @roxyshahidi @lucy_pargeter @missemmaatkins @natalieannjamieson @natalieannjamieson

One to treasure for life @emmerdale”.

Natalie Ann Jamieson who played Kerry’s on-screen daughter, Amy, replied: “Love these pics!! Love you!!” and Michelle Hardwick (Vanessa) joked: “These pics (laughing emojis) Singing Erasure at 1am”.
