ITV Emmerdale’s Jai true colours revealed as vile Laurel divorce plan confirmed

Emmerdale’s Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas are set to be at loggerheads in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap as the businessman drops a bombshell amid their divorce

Emmerdale’s Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas have been in a tense situation since their marriage ended last month. However, the drama escalates in the upcoming episodes of the ITV soap as they clash again, with Jai delivering a shocking revelation.

Long-time viewers will recall that Laurel (portrayed by Charlotte Bellamy) ended her relationship with Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) due to his incessant dishonesty.

A heated argument led to Jai disrespecting her late husband Ashley, shortly after which Laurel suffered a heart attack.

Upon regaining consciousness, Laurel informed Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) about Jai’s ruthless scheme to acquire his shares of The HOP.

Laurel also told Jai their marriage was over, and since then, they’ve continued to butt heads while working at The Hide and leading separate lives, reports the Express.

However, Jai is in for a surprise as he continues to make Laurel’s job difficult. In the forthcoming episodes, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) is thrilled when her step-mother Laurel suggests buying Jai’s shares in The Hide.

Gabby soon tells Jai that his soon-to-be ex-wife is the new investor in the bistro, leaving him livid.Later in the week, during a mediation session, Jai drops a bombshell.

Laurel is appalled when Jai lies to the mediator, claiming he has sold both Holdgate and Tenants to settle some debts, leaving him with nothing to offer Laurel in the divorce.

Later, Jai is seen questioning his decisions as Caleb Milligan (played by William Ash) reassures him, emphasising that he owes Laurel nothing.

The question remains: Will Jai handle his divorce with Laurel in a fair manner, or will he leave her penniless?

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
