Dean Andrews – who plays Will Taylor on the ITV soap – has opened up about his future on Emmerdale amid fan theories he could have killed his ex Rose in a shock twist
Dean Andrews has opened up about his future on Emmerdale – amid a huge twist with ex Rose.
Rose went missing last week, with her whereabouts still unknown. There has been much speculation about where she is – with many convinced either Will or Kim has killed her to prevent her from spilling about their tryst.
Dean has now spoken out about his time on the soap so far, and if he would like to stay. Speaking to The Mirror and other press about his future on the soap, he said: “We are like a little family and I do feel settled here.
“When the producers originally asked me if I’d like to come in, they said how long would you like to say and I said if I come in now, you’ll have to kick me out. I’ll stay as long as they want me to stay, however long they want me to stay is up to them but I’m of an age now, I’m in my 60s, so I’ll probably retire after this job.”

Dean says he feels “very settled” on the soap – and would consider retiring if he ever gets axed from the show.
“I feel very settled. The other stuff we do, we’re there for three, four, five months or whatever we are and then we all disappear and go and do other stuff then we come back but here, I remember before I came in and people were saying it’s like a family but it really is. We are together – I definitely see Claire (King, who plays Kim Tate) more than I see my own wife,” he said.
It comes after Kim Tate star Claire warned four people were on her ‘hit list’.
She said: “I think Ruby would like to think Kim has met her match. I don’t think she’s on par with Kim. I think Kim can be a little bit more dangerous than Ruby… but we’ll see … I can’t wait. I have them all lined up.
“There will be a few that have wronged her in the last few storylines. There’s Rose to sort out, Ruby, Will’s got to have a bit of slap round the chops. There’s a few. Probably Caleb is in there just for good measure. Maybe chuck a Dingle in.”
