Emmerdale viewers were left convinced they had cracked the mystery of Will Taylor’s message as Kim Tate was arrested on Tuesday
Emmerdale viewers believe they have pieced together the mystery surrounding Will Taylor’s death after Kim Tate was taken into custody on Tuesday evening.
Earlier this week, Dawn Fletcher, Will’s suspicious daughter, was shocked to discover that her father had ‘died of natural causes’, according to the coroner, despite her belief that he had been murdered.
The plot thickened when Jimmy King innocently delivered a box of Will’s possessions, leading Dawn to find a USB stick with a video of Will blaming Kim for his demise.
On Tuesday night, as Will’s family and friends gathered for his funeral, Dawn was preoccupied with the message left by Will, sharing her doubts with her husband, Billy Fletcher.
Billy, however, remained sceptical, pointing out that the video didn’t provide any concrete evidence and that they should concentrate on the funeral proceedings, reports Leeds Live.
As the episode progressed, the funeral procession made its way down Main Street, with Dawn visibly upset about Kim’s presence at the emotional event.
During the funeral, Kim gave a heartfelt eulogy, which Dawn couldn’t resist interrupting, accusing Kim of killing Will.
Her accusation left the congregation stunned, particularly when she revealed her late father’s incriminating video. Kim was horrified by the allegation and a heated argument ensued, culminating in Dawn pushing Kim into Will’s coffin before storming off.
After initially appearing to calm down, Dawn rejoined the funeral service as Will was being buried. Kim held onto hope that Dawn was on her side, simply mourning her father.
But in a classic soap twist, the episode ended with a shock as police arrived at the funeral, informing Kim she needed to attend the station due to a serious allegation.
Kim defiantly exclaimed: “I’ve got nothing to hide!” while casting a stern look at a self-satisfied Dawn, as officers escorted her away.
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to share their theories as one person said: “Obviously Will trying to frame Kim from beyond the grave! It reminds me of a previous story at Home Farm when Chris Tate died… #Emmerdale”, a different account put: “Will isn’t dead, is he? He and Joe have set it up. Joe is being uncharacteristically nice to Kim #emmerdale” while another added: “So Joe and Will got a fake ambulance crew, funeral director, coroner and death certificate that’s some plan? Especially when he shows up and Kim hadn’t killed him so isn’t guilty of anything? #emmerdale.”
Emmerdale airs every weekday at 19.30pm on ITV1, ITV X, STV and STV Player with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. It is also available each morning from 07.00am on ITVX.
