Amy Wyatt is the only person confirmed to have seen Nate’s body before she died

Emmerdale star Natalie Ann Jamieson has teased Nate’s body reveal after her character Amy was the only one who knows he’s under water in the lake.

Natalie joined the Dales in 2019 to take on the role of Amy Wyatt (now Barton) as she replaced previous actress Chelsea Halfpenny who left the ITV soap as she wanted to try new things and other roles.

After six years of playing Amy, Natalie departed from Emmerdale as her character was tragically killed off in the aftermath of the limo crash.

On Valentine’s night, 17 villagers were excited as they bundled into two separate limos to enjoy an extravagant night out. Liam Cavanagh swapped places with Mandy Dingle as he wanted to propose to Chas in the back of the limo.

Before he was able to get an answer to his proposal, Charity veered off the road and into the frozen lake in a desperate attempt to not hit her son Noah Dingle who was wandering around the road after being spiked.

Suzy Merton was the first confirmed death after she hit her head during the crash, and Leyla Harding was the second after being impaled with a piece of glass. Amy’s death was the consequence of a traumatic experience for the character after she was plunged into the water.

Leyla and Kerry made the decision that Amy should be the next one to leave the limo as she had plans to adopt a child with husband Matty Barton. However, as she started to make her way across to safety, the ice cracked beneath her feet and sent her underneath the freezing cold water.

As Amy attempted to scramble her way up to the surface, she came face to face with a floating body in the water. It’s since been discovered that the body belongs to Nate Robinson as the bracelet on the wrist is an exact match for the one he was wearing before he “left” the village.

Nate exited last year as he had a new job opportunity in Shetland, but no one has heard from him since apart from a text to Tracy confirming that he had arrived.

Currently, Amy is the only one who knows about his body – apart from whoever killed him. Unfortunately, after waking up in hospital with severe hypothermia, she tried to tell Matty “Nate… under the water” but he failed to understand what she meant before she then died from a cardiac arrest.

Speaking to RadioTimes.com, actress Natalie Ann Jamieson shared: “She’s taken it to her grave! I’m sure Emmerdale are gonna use that somewhere along the line.”

She then teased: “I mean, we’ve all got our bracelets [made by Nate’s daughter, Frankie] and that body is there, and they’ve got reasons to go under the water I’m sure, so hopefully they’ll find him. Then at one point, maybe Matty will go, ‘Oh! D’you know what, I think Amy tried to tell me about that!'”

While it remains unknown as to when Nate will be discovered, fans are continuing to theorise who the potential killer could be with John Sugden and Caleb Miligan as the current prime suspects.
