Emmerdale star Danny Miller was on the latest episode of Celebrity Mastermind and fans couldn’t help but question his mood
Emmerdale’s Danny Miller appeared on the latest Celebrity Mastermind on Monday (January 13) night. Fans of the show took to social media to comment on how he “sulked” after his performance.
Host Clive Myrie introduced viewers to the latest four celebrities to take on the difficult trivia show. Alongside Danny Miller were TV host Josie D’Arby, BBC weather presenter Elizabeth Rizzini, and sports commentator Qasa Alom.
In the celebrity version, the stars compete against each other in an attempt to raise money for their chosen charity. Unlike his celebrity counterparts, Danny scored a low 10 points in total across the general knowledge and specialist subject rounds. Danny’s chosen specialism was “the life and works of Julia Donaldson” where he scored seven points, while the other celebs were joint first at 10 points after their first round.
Viewers soon took to social media to tease the star’s less-than-enthusiastic posture as he sat slumped in his chair waiting for the other contestants to complete their rounds. On X (formerly known as Twitter), @Clarkie133 wrote: “I’ve never seen a contestant on Mastermind as thoroughly p***ed off as Danny Miller tonight. Basically gave up halfway through his general knowledge round and then sat like the mardiest man in the world.”
@howveryarnott echoed: “Danny Miller is channelling his inner Aaron Dingle, he is looking so bored on Celeb Mastermind lmao.” Noticing that Danny was somewhat disappointed in his own score, @evilnoob penned: “Talk about a sore loser.”
The 34-year-old amused viewers with his response to the question: “The Latin term Regina, often abbreviated to the letter R for instance in royal ciphers, translates into English as what word for a female monarch?” As the star was running out of time, he answered: “Monsignor” in a rather deflated tone.
Question master Clive Myrie revealed the answer was “queen”, and as other contestants continued to have their turn Danny was spotted in the background slumped slightly in his chair with his arms crossed. While Danny hasn’t officially commented on the opinions, he did take to his Instagram story to post a funny video of him entering the Emmerdale set. He joked: “I feel so important, everyone out of my way. I’m here now we can begin. You’re welcome.”
While he may not have been overly popular with viewers on Monday night, he was crowned “King of the Castle” in the 2021 season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. He beat Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson and The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge.
