Georgia Jay took to social media as she declared love for her Emmerdale co-star
Emmerdale star Georgia Jay posted on her Instagram to praise co-star Beth Cordingly for winning “Best Newcomer” at the TV Choice Awards.
The actress joined the Dales in 2024 to take on the role of Steph Miligan, Ruby’s estranged daughter. Her close bond with grandfather Anthony Fox caused some turmoil for Ruby as she had flashbacks of the abuse he had subjected her to as a teenager.
Ruby has tried to protect Steph from finding out the truth, which has become harder after Anthony was murdered in recent weeks. Steph is currently unaware that her biological father is not Caleb, and that Anthony is actually the one who fathered her after sexually abusing Ruby on her sixteenth birthday.
Fans found out that Ruby was the one who killed Anthony after finding him lay on the floor of the depot moments after Aaron had beaten him due to his harrowing crimes.

While under the illusion that Anthony has fled the village himself, Steph has started to question why no one else seems to care about his disappearance or why they aren’t trying to contact him.
On Monday (10th February) night, Beth Cordingly (Ruby) won the TV Choice Award for “Best Newcomer”. The morning after she posted her thoughts, filled with gratitude as she wrote: “THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! @tvchoicemagazine I am made up.
“Thank you for voting for me to be best newcomer….25 years in the business and I finally won it! Hooray!!! And thank you for best soap, I love @emmerdale and we love you. Thank you for voting for me”.
Beth’s co-stars ran to the comments to celebrate, like Danny Miller (Aaron) who joked: “Oh god! We won’t hear the end of this… Congrats Beth Cordingly richly deserved! Proud of you and so pleased for you!!”

Georgia instead took to her Instagram story on Wednesday (12th February) and made a heartfelt tribute to Beth as she penned: “Congratulations beautiful @beth_cordingly Couldn’t ask for a better ‘Mum’ and co-star”.
