ITV Emmerdale missing teen feared dead as Jacob makes devastating discovery

Emmerdale spoilers reveal April Windsor is still missing but will Marlon Dingle get closer to the truth about her disappearance?

Emmerdale’s Marlon Dingle (played by Mark Charnock) is set to make a series of discoveries as his daughter April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) remains missing. The teenager vanished from her home on Christmas Day leaving Marlon and Rhona (Rhona Goskirk) grief-stricken as they scrambled to find her.

In forthcoming scenes, Marlon and Mary (Louise Jameson) continue to search for April but arrive home deflated. The family are soon joined by Anna, their family liaison officer, as secrets start to unravel from a frustrated Marlon.

He confesses that April was upset after discovering the truth around her mums death and a police search of their property ensues. Across the village, Ross Barton (Mike Parr) is guilt ridden over April’s disappearance and confides in Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) who encourages him to help find her.

As the police ramble their way through Smithy cottage, Marlon and Rhona notice money and some of April’s belongings are missing, and reality hits – she planned to run away. Shortly after, Anna reveals they have found some contraceptive pills in April’s bedroom.

As the search continues, Marlon begins to feel he’s failed April and is left staring out of the window, unable to hold in his despair.

The next day whilst putting up posters in the Woolpack, Marlon puts Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) on the spot. But when the villagers join in the search, Marlon makes another discovery in form of April’s social media activity. But what will he find?

Elsewhere, viewers will see Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) takes on his first day in A&E in a standalone episode, but what could possible go wrong?

Jacob is briefed by his supervisor Dr. Todd as he soon faces the stress of an incoming stab victim. Jacob recognises April’s purse on the victim and panics, calling Marlon. He is soon reprimanded by Dr. Todd for informing the family of his discovery and she is clearly not pleased with his conduct.

Jacob watches as Marlon and Rhona arrive at the hospital and desperately try to find out for information. As time passes without updates on how the victim is doing, tensions in the family room rise.

Eventually, Jacob is heartbroken as he watches a nurse enter to deliver devastating news to Marlon and Rhona. Jacob is approached by a fellow medical student before Charity rushes in with a drunk Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) who collapses.

Jacob jumps into action, helping Sarah, but he deals her some very tough love, in return, she later makes a confession. Stressed out, medical student Jacob bonds with an elderly patient called Henry who offer him comfort.

Outside the hospital Moira (Natalie Robb) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) arrive for her appointment, with Moira distracted by seeing Jacob at the hospital. They meet with the radiation oncologist to discuss the treatment plan, and Moira becomes emotional during her mask fitting.

In the hospital Cain gets talking to Henry, the elderly patient, who reminds him of his late father. Moira is upset when Cain isn’t immediately available after the procedure.

On New Year’s Eve, Emmerdale will air five flashforwards – but what will they reveal?
