Emmerdale’s troubled teen Angelica King makes an alarming confession to her mother next week that could be a terrifying hint at a future storyline on the ITV soap
Emmerdale may be teasing dark scenes ahead for Angelica King, months on from her causing Heath Hope’s death.
Something she confesses in a scene next week on the ITV soap in a scene with Nicola King may tease sinister moments ahead. But could we be seeing a new villain, and do the scenes foreshadow a dark twist ahead?
In January the teenager, 14 years old at the time, went joy riding and crashed a car, killing pal Heath. She spent weeks claiming his sister Cathy Hope was the driver, before finally admitting her guilt.
She’s spent months in a secure children’s home after being charged with the crime, and in a recent episode she returned home. Amid drama with the family as her cousin Tom King’s abuse storyline continues, Angel has been struggling to settle back home.
Next week her struggles continue, and she makes an alarming confession. Nicola is thrown when her daughter snaps at her, and she makes a comment about being “evil” – leaving Nicola chilled to the bone.
It kicks off when Nicola urges her daughter to get back to some normality and suggests she should return to school. A troubled Angelica snaps, not ready for such a huge step.

But it’s what Angel says next that leads to Nicola confiding in her best pal Laurel Thomas. Angel admits that she has an innate evilness in her, having dark thoughts.
Could this be an alarming hint at a future storyline for the character, and may she turn evil? Might we have another villain on our hands, leaving residents in danger?
Nicola certainly fears for her daughter and worries for her future, with the comment leaving her unsettled. She tells Laurel all about what Angel has said and asks her friend for some advice on how to deal with the situation, not knowing what to do.
Laurel does her best to support a distraught Nicola as they mull over Angel’s words. Nicola is clearly panicked by Angel’s claims of being evil, trying to figure out what she means and what she might do next, with Laurel also having her own say on the matter.
Laurel encourages her to make amends with her husband Jimmy King, after they fell out over Tom. Amid such a worrying time regarding Angelica, will Nicola listen to her friend’s advice and tell Jimmy what has happened? Or might Tom come between them once more?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
