Emmerdale fans are convinced they know who Tom King will frame for his attack as he makes a shock recovery
Emmerdale fans are certain they’ve figured out who Tom King will attempt to pin the blame on for attacking him, and it’s not Belle or Vinnie Dingle.
The villainous Tom (portrayed by James Chase) has been subjecting his wife Belle (played by Eden Taylor-Draper) to months of abuse and manipulation. Belle has since confided in her family about the ordeal and broken off her relationship with Tom, eager to break free from his control.
However, events escalated last week when Belle was forced to defend herself against Tom, resulting in her stabbing him in the back with an axe. Initially, Belle intended to confess to the police but was convinced by her family to remain silent.
Her shock was palpable upon discovering that Tom had been located and taken to hospital. When the police learned of the assault on Tom, they questioned Belle and the Dingles.
Adhering to their agreed story, the family claimed ignorance about the attack, expressing relief that Tom was alive. Tom regained consciousness and, in the episode aired on Tuesday (October 1), he summoned Belle for a meeting, which she secretly attended, reports Leeds Live.
During their encounter, Tom blackmailed Belle into silence about the domestic abuse, stating: “Stop lying that I’m an abuser and you’re in the clear.”
Belle reluctantly consented, replying: “Okay, I’ll do what you want.” Subsequently, when the police interviewed Tom for his statement, he deceitfully accused two men of the attack, describing one as having a “Leeds accent.”
Fans are convinced that Tom is plotting to implicate two beloved soap characters, which might lead to their dramatic exit from the village via a startling prison storyline. Online speculations suggest that Cain (played by Jeff Hordley) and Aaron (Danny Miller) could be wrongfully accused.
One viewer shared their suspicions on an Emmerdale Facebook fan community, commenting: “My theory of this Tom and belle story. The 2 men he mentioned that attacked him ( Aaron and Cain) that could be Cain’s leaving story (jail).” Another member of the group responded, “I was thinking this when he said it last night.” A third added: “He’s going to try and blame them isn’t he!”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
