Emmerdale fans are convinced that Tom King’s solicitor Ollie is related to someone in the village

Emmerdale’s Tom King, played by James Chase, has a lawyer named Ollie who viewers believe may be related to a village resident in a major DNA plot twist. The character of Ollie, portrayed by Alistair Toovey, was introduced this year as a friend of Tom’s.

After being attacked by his wife Belle Dingle, played by Eden Taylor-Draper, in self-defence, Tom has since hired Ollie as his solicitor. As fans will recall, Tom made Belle’s life a living hell for months before she finally managed to escape. However, after attacking Tom, she now faces the potential of prison time. This is exactly what Tom and his lawyer Ollie are hoping for.

But last week, someone vandalised Tom’s car after he was released without charge following another police interview about his abusive behaviour towards Belle. In Monday’s episode (November 4), Tom was found beaten up outside a church, claiming he had been assaulted.

He refused to go to A&E or involve the police, saying he didn’t see who attacked him, according to Leeds Live. It was later revealed that Tom had arranged for Ollie to attack him in an attempt to frame Belle’s brother Sam Dingle, played by James Hootoon

However, a nervous Ollie suggested that it might be time for Tom to find a new solicitor. But Tom became threatening and promised to use some leverage he has over Ollie unless he continued to cooperate. Tom seemed to hint that he knew a secret about Ollie that could be revealed if he backed out, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Emmerdale fans are abuzz with excitement, as they’re convinced they’ve cracked the mystery behind Ollie’s true ties to the village. After a recent episode which shed some light on Tom and Ollie’s dynamic, one eagle-eyed fan took to an Emmerdale Facebook fan group to theorise: “What if solicitor Ollie is Tom’s half brother? His mum Colleen could have had an affair years ago with Ollie’s dad? ” Others quickly jumped into the conversation with their own ideas, with another viewer saying: “Yes! And Tom’s been blackmailing and abusing him all this time as well.”

A different fan pondered: “I don’t think he’s dodgy, and that would make sense if they were related.”

Echoing this sentiment, another devotee of the show added: “That would be a good twist, I think it will be him that brings Tom down, someone no one is expecting.”
