ITV Emmerdale fans praise ‘amazing scene’ as Dingles plot next move

The Dingles work together after saying goodbye to Zak

ITV Emmerdale returned this evening as the Dingles work together and pick up the pieces following the death of village legend Zak Dingle.

On tonight’s episode, the remaining Dingle heirs and heiress – Caine, Sam and Belle – talk about the future without their father, Zak. Belle and Sam force Cain to be upfront with Moira’s health after they drink Zak’s ‘stash’ of whisky together. They talk it out as they contemplate a future without their patriarch and how Cain is now ‘head of the family’, however, he insists that he is not ready for the task.

After appearing at Zak’s grave, Sam puts Zak’s hat on Cain before he removes it and asks ‘what are you doing?’ Before the village hardman quietly took a pause to remember his dad. Fans praised the episode as “one of the best” following a week of tears as the Dingles get together to say their goodbyes.
