When is Emmerdale on over Christmas and the New Year? Something big and dramatic always happens in the dales
Like life, drama in the dales does not stop – even for Christmas and New Year – but it is always the best time for fans to see an epic showdown, happy ending or a tragic death.
We have put together the full schedule of the festive season for Emmerdale, so there is no excuse not to miss out on what is hoped to be a very action-packed two weeks. Viewers are even treated to not one, but TWO one-hour specials on Boxing Day and January 2, so something big is bound to happen.
Leading up to the festive season, we have had the reoccurring nightmare of Tom King who has vowed on getting his revenge on Belle and the Dingle clan – but how will he do that from prison?
We also have the awful situation of Eric and his gambling addiction which has led him to steal from Brenda, steal money from his shop to place a bet after losing money to a crypto scam and his house is now the collateral – will the couple be homeless for Christmas? Other stories also include Chas and Liam being watched by ex Ella – will she leave the village quietly, or cause drama over the festive period?
There is also the sight from an exclusive tour – of an unmarked grave, meaning someone could be filling the plot very soon – but who will it be?
