Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton left her best friend Max Turner stunned on Friday night as she revealed the ‘real father’ of her baby on the hit ITV soap
Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton left her best friend Max Turner stunned on Friday night as she revealed the ‘real father’ of her baby.
Lauren made a shock comeback last month as Cait Fitton reprised her role. Weeks on from a brutal attack by Joel Deering, which Weatherfield residents still don’t know about, Lauren, who was believed to be dead, was revealed to be alive.
And things only got more explosive when Joel confronted Lauren at the hospital, where Lauren protected her stomach revealing she was five months pregnant with his baby in a huge bombshell. Joel has been hiding Lauren in an empty flat and is still secretly visiting her as he attempts to get her move to Ireland sorted. Joel managed to persuade Lauren to lie to the police and say that Nathan Curtis, who was already arrested for Lauren’s ‘disappearance’, was behind her attack and the father of her baby.
However, last Friday night, in evil and disgusting scenes, Joel drugged pregnant Lauren with pills that would bring on an early labour, resulting in her being rushed to hospital. In scenes this week, Lauren was terrified as her prematurely born son was rushed to an incubator as she feared whether he will survive.
On Friday night, Lauren’s best friend Max decided to take her out for lunch after a tough few weeks. During the meal, Max asked whether Nathan knew he had a child to which Lauren admitted he wasn’t the father of her baby. A shocked and intrigued Max then asked who is the dad to which Lauren lied, claiming it was just a ‘randomer’ and she was too wasted to get their name or number.
However, viewers think Max will realise Lauren is lying and will attempt to uncover the real father. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “Just can’t see Max giving up on finding out who’s the daddy to Frankie. now who will he accuse… Nick? Steve? Tim? Stu? Dev? Daniel? Ty? Kev? will Joel make the cut? #Corrie” while another added: “Max still interrogating for info. #Corrie…”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
