Coronation Street viewers are convinced a teenage pregnancy storyline is one the horizon the brutal murder of Mason Radcliffe
Coronation Street fans believe Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) was about to become a dad for the first time before his tragic stabbing death following a savage assault.
In Monday’s gut-wrenching episode set in Weatherfield (January 6), young Mason had plans to relocate to Germany to start afresh, thanks to a job offer from Stu. However, just hours before his flight, Mason was assaulted by his brothers, Logan (Harry Lowbridge) and Matty Radcliffe (Seamus McGoff), leading to a rapid escalation of events.
In an attempt to aid his former tormentor Mason, Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) hurriedly fetched a knife in a bid to frighten off the attackers. But during the scuffle, Mason was stabbed in the chest and left dying in the children’s play area at the precinct.

Abi Webster (Sally Carmen) was the first on the scene, finding Mason bleeding and doing her utmost to stem the blood flow until the ambulance arrived, which was delayed due to a prank call.
A distraught Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) also turned up at the scene, and together with Abi, reassured a terrified Mason that he wasn’t going to die. As he was whisked away to hospital, Betsy cried out her love for Mason, but efforts to save him were in vain, reports Lancs Live.
Just days prior to Mason’s murder, he and Betsy had enjoyed a romantic dinner where the teenagers shared a kiss before heading upstairs, seemingly confirming their relationship.

On social media platform X, one viewer speculated: “Calling it now- Betsy is pregnant. Mason’s cute dinner date would have been enough to establish that they’re a sweet teenage couple. Lisa caught them but no real aftermath of that with Lisa and Betsy? But Corrie made a point to show that they were sleeping together so…. #corrie.”
Another fan expressed their concerns: “Oh my god…I really don’t want a Betsy pregnancy storyline, but imagine Carla and Lisa being all maternal, basically raising Betsy’s baby alongside Betsy as she’s just a kid…Swarla being mums. Good god I wouldn’t handle it”.
A third chimed in with a question: “Ok but is Betsy gonna be pregnant? #corrie @itvcorrie”, while yet another added their prediction: “So when will we find out Betsy is pregnant? Mason and Betsy procreating #corrie #CoronationStreet.”
