Emmerdale’s Will Taylor, played by actor Dean Andrews, sparked speculation he was leaving and could be dead after a dangerous run-in with Ross Barton on the ITV soap
Emmerdale aired deadly scenes for Will Taylor on Friday night, but does he die and is actor Dean Andrews leaving the ITV soap?
Will was brutally attacked and possibly killed by Ross Barton during a showdown, after Kim Tate tried to get her ex to leave the village. After Kim tried to pay him off to flee after he cheated on her months ago, Will refused.
So after Ross crossed Kim, she had an ultimatum for him. Ross was shocked when she asked him to find a way to get rid of Will for once and for all, but was outraged at the suggestion of killing him.
Ross made it abundantly clear that he did not want to harm or murder Will – but he may have actually done just this after scenes on Friday. Ross shielded his identity before attacking Will, seemingly trying to bundle him into a van to get him away from the village.
But Will fought back and the pair soon got violent, resulting in Ross being overpowered. Will pulled down Ross’ balaclava and realised it was him, leaving Ross startled.
But before Will could do anything, Ross attacked him and shoved him backwards causing him to fall. As Will hit the floor he smashed his head against a conveniently placed rock on the ground.

Will was suddenly lifeless on the ground and didn’t look good at all. Ross soon realised what had happened, seeing the bloodied rock and seeing Will on the floor.
He was clearly panicked as he realised he might have killed Will who was not moving. But is Will dead, and what will Kim make of the latest twist? There is no mention of Will at all in next week’s spoilers so his fate is currently not confirmed.
Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out if Ross has killed Will, and if he’ll face trouble. Viewers have shared their thoughts on the plot with many asking whether Will was dead, while the actor and the soap have not confirmed whether an exit is on the way for him.
Viewers are convinced the character has been killed off, with one writing: “When Emmerdale kills off someone on a random Friday.” They added: “Will also be interesting to see how the ‘killer’ acts in the aftermath.”
A third upset viewer begged: “Please stop our main characters leaving.” A fourth fan commented: “We will just have to wait and see if it’s announced that *** ****** has left. With Emmerdale at the moment anything is possible!”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
