Home and Away’s Tane Parata and Harper Matheson decide to keep quiet about the sex of their unborn baby on UK screens next week.

The parents-to-be grow closer as they agree that their discovery during a hospital scan should stay between themselves for now.

Things don’t get off to a great start on the morning of the scan, as Harper isn’t sure whether Tane plans to attend with her.

Tane appears to have forgotten all about the important appointment, as he’s busy helping his young protégé Perri Hayes make arrangements for his dad’s body.

The Summer Bay gym boss even asks Harper if she’ll jump in to help him and Perri, leaving her deeply disappointed.

Harper vents to her sister Dana over the phone and Tane is mortified when he overhears the conversation. He immediately changes his plans for the day, insisting that he wants to come along.

While this is good news for Harper, it means that she has to take back an invitation for Dana to join her at the appointment.

There’s a touching moment during the scan as Tane and Harper find out that they’re expecting a baby boy together.

They agree not to tell anyone else about this detail for the time being, but their decision leaves Dana feeling like she’s now on the outer. After supporting Harper since the very beginning of the pregnancy, it’s a new dynamic for Dana to get used to.

Later in the week, Dana turns to her boyfriend Xander Delaney for support as she feels left out.

Xander promises that things will be different when they have children of their own, but he immediately regrets his hasty words as Dana freaks out.

Dana reminds Xander of her difficult past with her own parents, explaining that it means the issue of having children is a complicated one for her.

Xander is understanding but suggests that they should keep moving forward with their relationship – starting with him giving her a key to his apartment.

Will the couple get back on solid ground? And how long can Tane and Harper really keep their news from Dana?
