Home and Away’s Bree to be suspended over Alf incident

Bree refuses to admit any wrongdoing.

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away’s Bree Cameron will be suspended in upcoming scenes after she abandoned Alf Stewart during a medical emergency.

In scenes that aired in the UK last month, Alf experienced some agonising chest pains outside the Surf Club and was rushed to Northern Districts Hospital.

Levi Fowler initially tried to help Alf, but Bree sent him away and insisted on dealing with the case herself.

However, still blaming herself for Felicity Newman’s tragic death, Bree froze and refused to administer the treatment Alf urgently needed, as she’s become obsessed with carefully checking every minor detail around the hospital.

When Bree rushed away to verify the amount of medication she needed to inject Alf with, her colleagues were forced to step in and stabilise him themselves.

In scenes set to air on the soap from Monday next week (January 6), Bree complains to her partner Remi that Levi seems to hold a grudge against her following Alf’s health scare.

However, when Remi sees Marilyn is also being cold with Bree, he realises there might be more to what happened. Then, Bree later admits to Remi that she has been lying about seeing her counsellor.

Later, Bree receives news that she has been suspended from work, and feels angry, going on to confront Levi.

Meanwhile, Marilyn is feeling vindicated after learning about Bree’s suspension. However, the continuing drama – including Bree’s anger with Levi – means that Marilyn is forced to be honest with Alf.

She tells him that Bree’s inaction put him in serious danger, to the point where he could have lost his life.

Levi tries to justify his decision to report the incident to Bree, stressing it wasn’t personal – instead, he had no choice because of its serious nature and the potential consequences.

Soon, Mackenzie interrupts their argument and insists Bree leaves Salt.

Later, Alf then approaches Levi to get his opinion on what happened at the hospital. Levi is honest with Alf, explaining how serious things got, and adds that he’s lucky to be alive.

Clearly affected, Alf packs up his car and considers taking some time to himself to process the news.

Eventually, Bree goes to see Levi and tries to talk things out. However, she refuses to admit to any wrongdoing, and the situation between them doesn’t get any better.

Later on, Bree visits Levi and tries to talk, but the conversation turns sour when she still refuses to admit any wrongdoing.

She decides to ask Dana for support to try and get through to Levi – however, Dana reminds Bree that she wasn’t there during Alf’s health scare and has no intention of lying on her behalf.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first-look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
