Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away is set to explore newcomer Abigail Fowler’s grudge in a new storyline.

Eden and Levi’s sister (played by newcomer Hailey Pinto) recently arrived in Summer Bay, with viewers gradually learning about her poignant backstory and past struggles.

Among this is her history with fellow surfboard shop employee Kirby, with tensions set to boil over in new scenes airing next week (January 9 and January 10).

Abigail initially shows her gratitude to Mali after he offers her a job at the shop and the two bond, though she is left outraged when Mali leaves Kirby in charge. Given they have a difficult relationship, Abigail decides to take her break to avoid Kirby.

She later speaks to Mackenzie about her colleague, sharing that Kirby was a major factor in Eden abandoning her when they were younger – specifically Eden getting distracted by her friendship with Kirby and their band Lyrik.

As such, Mackenzie lets Mali know about Abigail and Kirby’s tensions, and he decides to check on what is happening. Abigail tells him that they will stay professional while working, though the tensions persist, leaving Mali unhappy.

Abigail opens up to him about her past with Kirby, and after a chat she realises that her emotions may be aimed at the wrong person – Abigail accepts that her issue is really with Eden.

Following this, she begins to reluctantly accept help from Kirby at the shop – though can they put everything behind them and make things work?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first-look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
