With contracts coming up for renewal, the future of Home and Away’s favourite band is up in the air.

With contracts due for renewal, it appears one Home and Away fave could be set to depart Summer Bay for the greener pastures of the ‘city’ or wherever else former characters have gone, with Kirby, played by Angelina Thomson, snapped filming what look to be her final scenes on the soap.

Kirby, of course, is a key part of Summer Bay’s favourite and only band Lyrik, who thrashed their way into the Bay in 2022, which means, yep, they’ve been there for the initial three-year contract and fans are wondering how many members are set to stay or depart in the coming months.

Could Kirby be first? Fans seem to think so after spotting Angelina filming scenes that looked very much like goodbye scenes. Angelina has also just announced she’ll be starring in musical production Guys & Dolls at the Sydney Opera House from March.

Home and Away star spotted filming final scenes

One fan uploaded the footage which sees Kirby waving an enthusiastic goodbye while sitting in the back of a car, with another video showing her giving Eden (Stephanie Panazzo) a very long hug.

“Apparently Angelina Thomson (Kirby) is the next one to leave the Bay. Please note that they don’t do their scenes in order if it is true that she does leave the show, it doesn’t mean she has stopped filming yet,” the person said. “Hopefully I can find more proof in the upcoming weeks to actually confirm this.”

Fans were sad at the thought of Kirby departing, with of course, one big question on everyone’s lips.

“So what’s gonna happen to Lyrik?” one person asked. “Hopefully [they’ll] come to an end that would be nice,” someone quipped back.

“Oh I hope she’s not leaving,” one fan lamented, with someone else agreeing, “I’d rather Eden and Remi than Kirby.”

Leaked Home and Away photos hint at nostalgic storyline returning

Speaking of Home and Away fans spotting behind-the-scenes clues, recently, someone spotted Roo filming scenes with a younger character, which would make him the first younger kid or teen the Bay has seen for quite some time.

“Newcomer young boy who was at filming today (21/01/25). He was filming with Roo and looks like it could be Roo’s foster kid! We see this air in 5/6 months,” one person posted in a popular Home and Away Facebook group.

“He was also filming with Roo last week too. 14/15th of January, I was there when he was filming,” another person shared, while someone said, “Glad to see kids back on the show!”

Could this be the return of Summer Bay High? We could only hope.
