Theo starts a subtle investigation into Justin’s sneaking around, asking if he’s heard from Claudia. Justin is quick to deny it. Leah’s emotions are heightened as they approach the anniversary of her proposal to Justin. She’s not sure whether they should celebrate, considering that it was a difficult time for the couple.
Theo overhears talk of the anniversary, with Justin’s lies in the back of his mind. Just as Theo’s detective work is about to get him some answers from Justin, Leah arrives with a surprise lunch for Justin.
Theo’s unnerving presence at lunch makes Justin finally ask what his problem is. Theo admits he saw Justin with Claudia yesterday. Justin’s sprung. After giving Theo his explanation, he swears him to secrecy, ordering him not to say a word to Leah.
Meanwhile, Remi arrives home to find his apartment spotless. Bree is fully absorbed in cleaning as she processes her latest conflict with Dana. When Remi tries to help with the cleaning, she snaps at him. Things only escalate between them as Remi tries to get through to her. Something’s really not right with her.
After helping Remi process the mystery of Bree’s headspace, Eden opens up to him about how much she misses Cash. When Bree gets home, she apologises for things getting out of hand earlier. But he won’t just move on, as he insists that he loves her too much to let her ignore whatever is wrong. He encourages her to get help. She promises Remi that she’ll call her counsellor.
Elsewhere, Carl loiters around The Bay, looking for a way to get close to Perri. Alf unknowingly gives him the answer he needs – Perri’s at the gym. Carl comes down hard on Perri with threatening words, for both Perri and Tane. He leaves him with one last threat that he’ll be back in touch soon.
Perri finds Tane at home but can’t work up the courage to say anything about Carl. Tane is in full future-dad mode and Perri is moved by how much thought Tane is putting into parenthood long before the baby is even born.
