Home and Away reveals Perri outcome in 2025 return

Plenty of twists and turns!

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away has revealed the outcome of the cliffhanger involving Perri Hayes and his father, Carl.

In the UK season finale in November, Perri killed his father in self-defence after a scuffle in a swimming pool, with Tane Parata discovering a shaken Perri by Carl’s lifeless body.

As the Australian soap nears its return, details of January 6’s have been revealed, with Perri recalling the traumatic event in detail as Tane listens carefully.

Tane contacts the police, but not before Perri heads off in fear of facing questioning and potentially jail time. Rose also arrives on the scene, though doesn’t buy Tane’s version of events as she suspects he may be hiding Perri.

Perri seeks help from Theo, who offers him a space at the garage in order to lie low. The following morning, the pair hear via the radio that an arrest warrant has been issued for Perri and that anybody with information regarding his whereabouts should come forward.

Tane is interviewed by the police at the station as they pressure him on Perri’s location, though he swiftly leaves as he realises they have nothing that warrants a charge. Harper witnesses the incident, and heads out with Tane to find Perri.

Later in the week, the police continue to suspect Tane of hiding Perri away, with the character becoming frustrated as Rose repeatedly searches his house. She eventually interviews Theo regarding the matter, an encounter which spooks him.

Theo later brings Tane to Perri, who is upset by Theo’s betrayal of his confidence. Tane, however, urges Perri to consider his options and do the right thing. This all comes as Rose discovers inconsistencies regarding Perri’s version of events in Carl’s death.

The autopsy states that Perri may not have been acting entirely in self-defence, with there being several opportunities to save Carl’s life. Rose informs Tane of the discovery just as Perri hands himself in, with his charge now being upgraded to murder…

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
