While fans are excited to see Eden and Cash reunite, they’re a little less than impressed with Summer Bay’s newest engagement.

It’s been a long time coming for Home and Away fans and if next week’s preview is anything to go by, our wishes may be fulfilled — the messy saga that is Cash and Eden’s relationship looks like it’s finally about to hit some sort of resolution.

If you need a recap on Cash, Eden, and their turbulent romance, we’ll do our best. Cash and Eden used to be romantically intertwined in previous years before they both arrived in Summer Bay, with Cash arriving first as Summer Bay’s newest hot cop a few years back. A little while later, Eden descended with her band Lyrik, with Eden also being close friends with Cash’s sister Flick, who had also moved to the Bay.

After some false starts and usual dramas about whether they were just friends or had feelings for each other, Cash and Eden cemented themselves as one of Summer Bay’s staple couples and have survived car wrecks, kidnappings, Cash’s job changes, and all sorts of other dramas.

Things came to an end in 2024 not long after the pair became engaged when Cash’s sister and Eden’s BFF Felicity died, with Cash brutally dumping Eden after Felicity’s funeral during his grieving process. Since then, Eden went on to date her sister’s psychologist Tim (normal!), before Cash went a bit crazy trying to prove why Tim wasn’t right for Eden. Cash then met Nerida – one of Tim’s ex-clients who alleged the two had a relationship – however it turns out Nerida is a scammer and liar and is out to get Tim.

This leads us to the 2024 finale, where Cash went to find Eden at a secluded resort to warn her and Tim about Nerida after finding out Nerida was a bit cuckoo and out for revenge. Cash was later found next to an unresponsive Tim with everyone — bar Eden, who had conveniently realised on this trip that she was still in love with Cash— thinking he assaulted Tim and tried to kill him.

Now while we wait for the inevitable Tim and Nerida storyline to wrap up, Home and Away has teased a very interesting sneak peek into some of next week’s episodes.

Fans thrilled to see Cash and Eden reunite on Home and Away

In between all the hullaballoo of Tane and Harper potentially getting engaged (yes, you read that correctly) the promo for next week’s episodes showed Eden and Cash sharing a kiss and fans are over the moon about it.

“Love Eden and Cash back together,” one happy fan commented. “I hope Eden and Cash get married instead of Tane and Harper,” someone else commented.

“Love to see Eden and Cash back together, I know a lot of viewers don’t, just my opinion,” another person said, with a lot of people vehemently agreeing they were also very happy to see a potential resolution for Cash and Eden.

Fans unhappy with Tane and Harper’s engagement

Unfortunately, there was a little less love for Tane and Harper. “I’m just not vibing the Harper and Tane relationship! So happy for Eden and Cash though,” one person said, with another saying, “He doesn’t love her. He just loves the idea of being a father and having a family.”

Other people were left feeling bad for Harper to be on the receiving end of all this messiness.

“Proposal to Flick was more better [sic] because it was out of love. Gosh, I feel for Harper so much!” one person said, with another agreeing, “Tane has only done that because Dana has said something to him he doesn’t really want to marry her, you can tell 🙁 poor Harper omg.”
