Can the couple’s marriage survive?

Home and Away will confirm the future of Leah Patterson-Baker and Justin Morgan’s marriage next week, following a rocky patch in the couple’s relationship.
After Justin became an unofficial driver for newcomer Claudia after she was injured due to a dodgy car repair carried out by his garage, Leah grew increasingly suspicious of his relationship with Claudia and became convinced that he was cheating on her.
Although Leah later realised that she was wrong and apologised to Justin, he has found it hard to forgive his wife’s lack of trust in him and has been taking time away from Leah.
In scenes that will air on Channel 5 in the UK next week, Justin meets with Leah’s nephew, Theo Poulos. But Theo insists that he doesn’t want to get involved with their marital problems, telling Justin in no uncertain terms that it’s Leah he should be speaking with.
Meanwhile, Leah is getting a tarot card reading from Marilyn Chambers. When Marilyn produces an Eight of Wands card – the card of communication – Leah realises that the time has come for her and Justin to talk things through.
Unfortunately, their first attempt at opening up to each other doesn’t go smoothly. While Leah continues to be angry at Justin over his decision to stay at a motel rather than facing her, Justin can’t believe that Leah won’t understand his side of things. It soon becomes clear that they’re no closer to making up.
Later in the week, there’s drama for Theo after he hands himself into the police for hiding Perri Hayes in the garage after Perri recently killed his abusive dad in self-defence.
As Theo confesses all the details to Rose Delaney down at the police station, Leah and Justin arrive to find out what’s going on.
After hearing Theo’s story, the warring couple become more empathetic and ask Theo why he didn’t trust them enough to come to them about the situation with Perri. But when Theo is brutally honest, admitting that he didn’t want to cause them more stress on top of their tensions over Claudia, they realise just how far the problem has gone.
Deciding to have dinner together, Justin and Leah talk things over and Justin makes a bold statement, suggesting that they have been in denial that they both have major trust issues.
However, as Justin sits alone in Salt, he has a breakthrough moment when he overhears Harper Matheson and Cash Newman talking about the problems in their own respective relationships.
Justin listens as Harper pleads with Cash to reconnect with his ex, Eden Fowler, telling him that some people spend their whole lives searching for the kind of connection that he and Eden have.
Struck by her words, Justin goes to find Leah and tells her that he’s sure they can get through this bad patch, suggesting that they simply need to remember how great their relationship can be.
Will this mark a major turning point in their marriage?
