Hollyoaks’ Warren is framed for murder in new twist

The crime boss is arrested for his mother’s killing.

Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Tuesday’s episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn’t air on E4 until Wednesday.

Hollyoaks has aired a shocking arrest for Warren Fox.

The crime boss was taken into custody at the end of Tuesday’s (August 13) streaming-first episode, as he’d been implicated in the shooting death of his mother Norma.

Viewers know that it was rival criminal Blue and gangster Rex who were responsible for Norma’s grisly death.

Warren was reeling from the news of the shooting in the new instalment, with Mercedes McQueen desperately concerned that he was going to start using drugs again.

After seeing how determined Warren was to get revenge, Dave (aka criminal mastermind Blue) convinced him and son Joel Dexter to attend a grief counselling session.

“Let me take you somewhere that might persuade you to think differently,” Dave begged.

At the grief counselling group, Warren broke down as Dave spoke about how the death of his daughter Lizzie had changed him forever.

“Death, grief, loss, it changes you,” Dave insisted. “You spend the rest of your life wondering about what you could have done differently.”

Joel then opened up about his grief following the loss of his and Leela Lomax’s son. Warren sat silently through most of the meeting but finally opened up.

“I haven’t had a normal life, until this last year,” he explained. “Yesterday, I woke up feeling like I’d won the lottery, looking forward. I’m not the kind of person who looks forward to anything, but I was looking forward to my little girl spending Christmas with her grandma.”

Throughout Warren’s speech, the soap cut back to Rex Gallagher planting evidence from the shooting at Warren’s home. Once Warren arrived back in Hollyoaks, DS Banks and his team were searching the flat.

DS Banks revealed he’d received a tipoff that the cartridges for a gun found at Warren’s residence were the same as the one used to kill Norma.

“I’ve never seen it before in my life. I’ve been set up,” Warren pleaded.

Warren was horrified as he was arrested on suspicion of murdering his own mother.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
