Ste needs the support of a friend.
Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks is set to air some emotional scenes between Ste Hay and Sienna Blake next week.
Ste is currently in turmoil following the death of his husband James last year, and firmly believes that James is being held captive somewhere by Rex.
There have been some terrifying scenes involving Ste recently, including when he thought that he killed Misbah, and it seems that this is part of a psychosis storyline – that actor Kieron Richardson told Digital Spy about.
In Monday’s episode (November 18), Ste incorrectly overheard a conversation between Rex and Robbie and believed that Rex has now killed James because he didn’t save him in time.
With Ste in a fragile mental state, this week’s episodes will see Ste take Rex prisoner in Dee Valley Law, demanding answers once and for all about what has happened to James.
In scenes that will air next, the whole family pulls together at the Lomaxes’ house to support Ste. However, Ste still believes that everyone is conspiring against him.
Aware that his dad is struggling, Lucas tells Ste that he needs to stay at home until his medicine begins to work – suggesting that Ste has now received medical help.
Leela and Joel are left to watch Ste, however their attention is on looking after their new baby Clara. When their backs are turned, Ste steals their keys and leaves.
Later, Ste is in a distressed state, searching frantically for baby James, and he is found by John Paul, who is worried about him.
Ste then turns up at Sienna’s house in a panic, with Sienna having recently been released from prison, no longer accused of causing Ethan’s death.
Sienna has already received some concerned texts about Ste’s welfare but doesn’t quite know what to expect when he arrives at her door.
In heartfelt scenes, Sienna realises that her dear friend is unwell, and she tries to comfort him through his distress.
The pair have been friends for many years, but will Sienna be able to help Ste in his time of need?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
