Hollyoaks star teases ‘great’ exit as Blue’s identity revealed in huge twist

The mystery surrounding Blue’s identity is set to be solved on the Channel 4 soap later this week – and Warren Fox is in for the shock of his life after the big reveal

The identity of the mysterious character ‘Blue’ in Hollyoaks is set to be unveiled after weeks of fan speculation.

The unknown figure has been the talk of the town following a shooting incident where bullets coated in blue were left at the crime scene, sparking intrigue among Chester’s residents and viewers of the Channel 4 soap.

Detective Zoe Anderson, played by Garcia Brown, has identified Blue as a formidable gangster who instills fear in the criminal underworld. After a seven-year absence, Blue is back with a vengeance, targeting one individual – Warren Fox, portrayed by Jamie Lomas.

The infamous Blue is out for Warren’s blood and will stop at nothing to execute his malevolent plan. Warren, however, won’t go down without a fight, but could he regret ever crossing paths with Blue?

In an unexpected turn of events, tough guy Warren suspected Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) was Blue, despite Freddie being too young to be the notorious killer whose reputation spans decades.

Warren’s mother, Norma Crow (Glynis Barber), also thought Freddie was the elusive character.

But the guessing game will come to an end later this week (or next week for E4 viewers), as Blue’s true identity is finally disclosed to the audience, reports the Mirror.

Jamie Lomas has hinted that fans should brace themselves for a dramatic farewell as his character Warren on Hollyoaks is due to leave the show in spectacular fashion.

The popular actor, who first joined the Channel 4 soap playing Warren Fox in 2006, has revealed he’s set to bid farewell to focus more on his family life.

Chatting about calling time on his role, Jamie, 49, expressed: “I feel ready, I work so hard there and you do need that break from time to time. I’ll just be having a baby so it will be nice to spend some time at home with the new-born.”

He continued, highlighting the significance of family: “Spending time with family is just so important. I think it changes as you get a little bit older, but in the past we’ve been so focused on our careers, I’ve ended up just working constantly and this is time I won’t get back.”

Reflecting on personal loss and priorities, he added: “My dad passed away last year and this made me re-evaluate everything and realise that family is what’s important in life. It’s going to be a great exit and I’m sure Hollyoaks is going to go on to do great things.”

Lomas further mentioned the soap’s schedule shift: “Hollyoaks is going down to three days and I think this could be a really good thing, for them to really focus on their content.”

He concluded by considering the impact of modern technology: “These days people’s attention is a lot less due to things like mobiles and now they’ll be able to binge all the episodes in an hour! “.

Hollyoaks airs weeknights on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 at 7.30pm
