She’s returning to the dark side…

Hollyoaks has confirmed a huge character change for Grace Black in next week’s episodes.

Grace has had a difficult couple of months when she found out that her husband Freddie was falling in love with her best friend Mercedes.

At Christmas, Freddie and Mercedes confessed their love for one another, and they planned to run away together after he told Grace the truth.

But Grace had worked out what was happening, so she hatched a plan with Rex. He shot his sister in the village, and Grace made it look like she was saving Freddie from harm.

Grace managed to escape with minor injuries, and Freddie decided to stay with her – not feeling able to end their relationship after thinking that she saved his life.

Meanwhile, Rex is currently involved in some dodgy schemes, as he is trying to get Dillon – among others – hooked on drugs. He has also been keeping a mysterious woman called Kat and her son Jacob in a safe house, but things turned sinister when she attempted to escape.

In scenes that will air next week, Grace returns home from hospital, but she isn’t pleased to find out that she and Freddie are moving in with Robbie, as her husband feels he needs protection following the shooting.

Rex is blindsided when Jacob tells him that he didn’t get rid of the gun used to shoot Grace and uses this to blackmail him into getting his mum out of wherever she is.

Grace is frustrated with Rex for paying someone else to dispose of the gun, and she offers Jacob even more money to get rid of it once for all.

Elsewhere, while Frankie is hanging out with Dillon and Lucas, she receives a message from Kat, after previously getting a follow request from her on social media.

Rex is forced to tell Grace about his schemes, explaining that he returned to criminality after they fell out. He asks his sister to help get him out, but she turns him down.

However, Freddie, Robbie and Rex later get a shock when Grace walks into the flat glammed up and looking like her former self.

She later tells Rex that her things have changed, and she plans to go back to her old self and take over the whole criminal operation with him.

Is bad Grace back for good, and what will she do next?

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
