Hollyoaks has confirmed its full scheduling details for the Christmas and New Year period.

The soap will continue to air on Channel 4 Streaming and E4 over the festive season, maintaining the new format of three episodes per week.

As Hollyoaks doesn’t air on Christmas Day itself, scenes featuring the big day will hit E4 on Christmas Eve instead.

This will be part of a Christmas Eve double bill of episodes, providing a slightly different schedule to normal.

For those who prefer to stream first, Hollyoaks has already announced plans to release all six episodes from the festive fortnight on Channel 4 Streaming on the morning of Monday, December 23. Fans can choose to binge-watch on the day or space the episodes out.

Hollyoaks has already teased its festive storylines in the show’s recent winter trailer and recent press releases.

Myra and Nana McQueen are both making comebacks, as Nicole Barber-Lane and Diane Langton reprise their popular roles.

One character will seek a sinister revenge during the Christmas period, placing lives in danger.

Elsewhere, the net starts to close in on evil Abe Fielding following his crimes, Freddie Roscoe finds himself in a complicated love square, and Ro Hutchinson faces a New Year crisis.

Also ahead, Jez’s Christmas grotto is interrupted by a sinister confession, and someone overhears when Vicky shares a secret with Dillon.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
