Hollyoaks has aired heartbreaking scenes involving Vicky Grant, in the show’s latest episode.

Last year, Vicky found out that she was pregnant, but while she is in a relationship with Robbie, the father is his brother Freddie, who Vicky slept with a couple of times.

Freddie recently discovered that Vicky hadn’t had a termination and was still pregnant, and she begged him not to say anything to Robbie.

In today’s episode, Vicky told Robbie that she had started bleeding, and she was scared that something was wrong with her baby.

The couple went to the hospital, with Grace and Freddie in tow – but Freddie had his own fears, with the knowledge that he is the father of the baby.

As Vicky had her scan, Grace and Freddie had an emotional chat, with Grace not realising the real reason why her husband was so concerned.

But through the window, they saw Vicky collapse in tears, as she and Robbie were sadly told the news that they had lost the baby.

Robbie struggled to come to terms with the news and was comforted by Freddie – who was secretly dealing with his own grief.

Freddie went to see a devastated Vicky in the ward, where he explained that he didn’t realise she wanted the baby, before apologising for how he had treated her in recent months.

He said: “I just want to let you know that if you did have that kid, our kid, that I promise I would have done the right thing.”

As Vicky and Freddie cried together over the loss of their baby, it was revealed that Mercedes had overheard the whole conversation.

Mercedes and Freddie have recently fallen in love with one another, and they intended to run away together at Christmas before Grace’s shooting stopped them in their tracks.

She has been planning to steal Freddie from Grace when she gets out of hospital, but will this new information change her mind?

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
