George fears the worst in EastEnders as his first meeting with long-lost brothers ends in an unexpected way

George Knight (Colin Salmon) receives a call from the friend of his biological mother in EastEnders soon – his brothers are visiting from Ghana.

George’s adoptive parents were called Gloria and Eddie. He was adopted via a process called child farming and only learnt about his heritage very recently.

During the journey into his past, George also learnt that Eddie had killed his biological dad and would soon face trial for racially aggravated murder.

Because so much has happened to George, the thought of meeting his brothers fills him with anxiety as he wonders how they’ll react to the news about their father’s death and Eddie.

Eventually, George is overcome with emotions as his brothers Kojo and Kobina arrive, played by Dayo Koleosho and Jonathan Nyati.

Kobina explains to George that Kojo is autistic, but things then take a turn when George unknowingly reveals that he witnessed their father’s murder, having assumed Angela had already told them.

George tells his siblings about their father’s murder, and they decide to leave.

Kojo, who has wondered off alone, grows frustrated at the café having been overwhelmed by the events of the evening. Martin (James Bye), who is also there, calls George to help.

George manages to get Kojo to calm down and, after a heartfelt conversation, makes a plan to win back his brothers’ affections.

After Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) expresses her concerns regarding Kojo’s outburst, Kobina arrives and manages to diffuse another situation before it gets out of hand.

Once he’s gone head to head with George, Kobina announces that he and Kojo are heading back to Ghana.

We know this won’t be the case entirely, as George offers to care for Kojo, who wishes to stay in Walford.

‘We’re delighted to welcome Dayo and Jonathan to EastEnders to play Kojo and Kobina as we continue to explore George’s story’, said executive producer Chris Clenshaw.

‘These are three brothers who were torn apart by tragedy and have a lot of complex emotions to come to terms with.

‘When Kobina decides to leave, Kojo chooses to stay, which gives George the chance to be a big brother and also take on caring responsibilities.’
