Five Coronation Street spoilers from Bethany’s heartbreak to Chesney’s unexpected luck

Upcoming storylines on the ITV soap will see a plotting Leanne up to no good, while Bethany and Sarah will be left stunned by an unexpected discovery

Fans of Coronation Street will witness many dramatic twists next week according to the latest spoilers.

Viewers will have seen Toyah and Nick’s relationship continuing to blossom as Leanne starts to make plans of her own. Meanwhile Nick’s holiday approaches, Leanne tries to ensure Sam is also on the flight.

An eager Shona confronts David and asks him if he was the one visiting Clayton secretly – but David attempts to lie his way out of it.

Chesney might experience unexpected luck involving money after experiencing a number of tough months.

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, Sarah and Bethany are shocked when they find out more about Bethany’s botched surgery. And after months apart, can Ayla’s and Adam’s relationship get back on tracks?

Leanne makes plans

In the courtroom, the atmosphere is tense as Rowan’s lawyer cross-examines Amy, Nick and Leanne. When Leanne spots Rowan sharing a self-satisfied smirk, she loses her cool and the court session is suspended.

Has Leanne jeopardised her chances of bringing Rowan to justice? Leanne targets Nick, insisting they share a drink together, but will Nick consent?

Leanne discovers Toyah’s passport and uploads the photo page from Toyah’s passport onto a website. Back at the flat, a scheming Leanne observes Nick attempting to fix the Christmas lights. At Les’ will reading, Nick offers comfort to Leanne while Toyah looks on.

Later, Nick lies to Leanne that the school won’t let Sam go away on holiday and that he’ll be going alone. However, when Toyah gives Leanne her holiday dates, she quickly notes that she’ll be off at exactly the same time as Nick.

She later replaces Toyah’s passport and opens an email confirming a new bank account in Toyah’s name with Miller & Wise Bank. But what exactly is Leanne up to?

During Friday’s episode, Leanne gets ready for Les’ wake at the bistro, where Nick discloses his plans for a solo holiday as Sam couldn’t secure time off school. After the funeral, the group congregates for the wake, where Nick provides Leanne with a comforting embrace.

Leanne makes arrangements with Mrs Crawshaw for Sam to accompany Nick on holiday without him knowing.

David hides the truth

David and Shona find themselves in a tense meeting with the prison governor, who reveals that Clayton had two visitors. However, when the governor refuses to disclose the identity of the visitor, David quickly ushers Shona out.

A suspicious Shona confronts David, questioning if he was the one visiting Clayton. How will David manage to wriggle out of this situation?

David confesses to Max that he was the one who intercepted the visiting orders and visited Clayton, but insists that Shona must never find out. In a twist, Shona hops into Steve’s cab and instructs him to drive her somewhere, swearing him to secrecy.

Steve later tells Max that he drove Shona to the prison. As they both reach the prison gates, they find Shona in the middle of a heated argument with the governor. As things escalate and Shona loses her cool, she pushes the governor. Will Max reveal the truth to Shona in a desperate attempt to calm things down?

After Shona fails to return home the previous night, a worried David visits the café hoping to find her at work, but has no luck. When Shona finally returns home, she confides in Roy about a regrettable action she has taken. What could Shona have possibly done?

Chesney is livid to find out that his car tyres have been slashed. He tells Fiz about a suspicious van and he’s convinced it’s the culprit.

Chesney spots the same van parked outside his house but as he investigates, the van hastily drives off.

Later on in the week, Adam discloses that Les’ former workplace, the abattoir, has proposed a £50,000 compensation for his death, on the condition of signing a non-disclosure agreement.

Bernie advises Chesney to delve deeper into this, hinting there might be more to Les’ death than what the abattoir is revealing.

Bethany’s heartbreak

Bethany comes to terms with her body changing

Bethany, grappling with the reality of living with a stoma bag, attends her support group. It becomes evident that she has been dishonest to Dawn, the group leader, about the nature of her operation which led to her needing a stoma bag.

Sarah shows Bethany a news article revealing that the Turkish clinic she patronised has made another blunder in a liposuction procedure.

Later on in the week, Debbie shows off her new convertible to Kevin, but her mood shifts when Bethany mentions suing the Turkish clinic for yet another botched operation.

Adam tells Bethany and Sarah to demand compensation from a director of the Turkish clinic who happens to live in the UK, and when he reveals who the person is, the mother and daughter duo are stunned.

Ayla and Adam’s romance

After months apart, Ayla returned to the cobbles with new bag of energy. But this also led to Adam to confess his true feelings towards her.

On Monday’s episode, over lunch, Adam admits to Alya that he likes her a lot. However when he heads to the bathroom, his phone beeps with a notification from a dating app.

Will Alya decide to confront him on his true intentions for her?
