Emmerdale villain Tom King is on a new anti-Belle scheme after he was thrown in prison after trying to skip the country – but in forthcoming scenes of the ITV soap he has a new plan
Emmerdale villain Tom King (played by James Chase) is set continue his reign of terror in upcoming episodes despite being charged with abusing Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and thrown into prison.
The evil villain was re-arrested and charged after new evidence came to light proving his abuse of wife Belle.
Belle reported Tom to the police over his violent and controlling behaviour earlier this year, but the case had stalled due to a lack of evidence.
Fortunately, that all changed as the police finally secured access to some incriminating files from Tom’s iPad that he’d previously attempted to destroy. Thankfully, the evidence was enough to charge Tom, as it proved that Belle had been telling the truth all along.
With his new girlfriend Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) in earshot, the detective told Belle: “Thomas King has been charged with coercive controlling behaviour and assault against you.”
But following his arrest, Tom was allowed to return to the village while awaiting trial. He couldn’t resist one last showdown with Belle before he tried to flee the country but was caught by the police at the ferry port and put on remand.
Despite now being in prison, Tom torment is set to continue as he targets Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) in a scheme against Belle.
In forthcoming scenes, Angelica, who has recently been released from a young offenders institute, attempts to make contact with her cousin in prison and she’s soon reeled in by Tom’s charm and flattery.
In a worrying development, she is soon won round to his anti-Belle stance and bowled over manipulative behaviour.
Belle then tells Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) that Tom has pleaded not guilty.
Over the phone, manipulative Tom convinces Angelica to try and win Jimmy King (Nick Miles) round to his defence.
Will the King’s help set Tom free? Or will justice be finally served?
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
