Emmerdale fans are no closer to finding out what happened to Rose Jackson, where she is and who was behind her disappearance amid clues and speculation
Emmerdale hasn’t given away how long it will be until Rose Jackson’s fate is revealed, but it’s not looking good for the ITV soap character.
There’s been hints of a shocking murder as she remains missing, weeks after a run-in with Kim Tate and Will Taylor. Rose debuted earlier this year as Will’s ex, and the mother of his daughter Dawn Taylor.
She managed to worm her way into Home Farm and into their lives, with Kim soon pushed out and even accused of spiking Dawn’s drink. Rose sparked a divide between Will and Kim, threatening to destroy their marriage.
Viewers soon learned this was her plan, as she was actually in the village to help Ruby Miligan take down Kim. In a recent episode she was thwarted though, and Kim took her revenge.
Will tried to hide the fact he and Rose had slept together, and while Rose stayed quiet Kim could see the guilt written over Will’s face. She and Will drove Rose to the middle of nowhere, warning her no one would likely stop for her.

But shortly after this, a car did pull over – with eagle-eyed fans spotting it had Home Farm written on the side. We did not see who the driver was but Rose seemed startled to see them.
The episode later went back to the location, and Rose had vanished, as had the car. Her handbag was on the ground with its contents spilled, with no clue as to where she was and what had happened to her, or if she’d even got in the car.
Following this, Dawn has been worried about her mum and keen to find her. Kim has done a disappearing act after Will’s betrayal, while they have both been accusing each other of being involved in Rose going missing.
There’s a few slip-ups that have happened that could expose Will’s guilt, and we have plenty of unanswered questions that have to come to light. At some point, whether it be soon or further down the line, we will find out what happened to Rose, and who was in the car.
We will find out what happened next, what led to her going missing and where she is now. Her fate has to be confirmed at some point, as does the culprit or the person involved.
Will will continue to cover up his guilt and the true events of that day in the episodes ahead, with him lying to the police and Dawn about Rose’s last known movements? He claimed she’d lost her bag after a bar brawl at the airport, while also telling a different story to Dawn about how she’d tried to rob Home Farm and been sent packing.
So at what point will Will’s contrasting and lie-filled stories be exposed, and could it mean he’s involved? If he isn’t and he faces questions, might the real culprit need to step forward? It’s safe to say that however long this latest twist goes on for, it’s only a matter of time before what really happened to Rose will come to light.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
