Emmerdale’s Mack Boyd actor Lawrence Robb has delighted fans after reuniting with a former co-star.
Taking to Instagram, the actor, 33, showed off his impressive vocal skills as he duetted with Jessie Elland, who played Chloe Harris on the hit ITV soap from 2021 until 2023.
Posting a black-and-white video while tagging Jessie, Lawrence penned: “Son of a Ho Ho ho it’s that time of year again. Merry crimbo you lot.”
In the clip, it sees the duo sing the classic festive tune White Christmas with Lawrence also impressively playing the piano.
The video left both Lawrence and Jessie’s followers seriously impressed with their Emmerdale co-stars also sharing in the comments. Eden Taylor-Draper, who plays Belle Dingle, penned: “Oh you two!” while Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty Barton, added heart eye emojis.
Elsewhere, one soap fan wrote: “Wasn’t expecting that” with clapping emojis, another put: “Wow you guys have got beautiful voices. Hope you both have a wonderful Christmas Xxxx”, a different viewer said: “Oh wow what a fab duet merry xmas” while another added: “Fantastic voices!! Merry Christmas to you both!!”
Soap fans will recall that Jessie’s character Chloe made a dramatic soap exit last Christmas. During the scenes, Mack, played by Lawrence, found himself in serious danger at the hands of villain Harry, who turned out to be Chloe’s father Damon.
Chloe had turned to her estranged father for help, after fiancé Mack betrayed her and dumped her for his ex Charity Dingle.
Just weeks earlier Chloe nearly died in a car crash, after Mack saved Charity over her as he could not rescue both. Chloe survived and Mack proposed, only for him to dump her days later – resulting in Chloe doing a runner with their baby son Reuben and hoping to flee the country.
Mack, who had been bound to a chair and beaten in a disused warehouse, tried to escape with Chloe’s help after she realised her father’s sinister plan. However, Mack was soon caught by Damon and his heavies. The explosive scenes resulted in Charity saving Mack and accidentally shooting Damon dead.
Following the ordeal, Chloe told Mack she wouldn’t shop Charity to the police, but only if he never saw their son Reuben again and let them leave the Dales to start a new life elsewhere. Mack agreed to let Chloe go in a bid to protect Charity, sharing an emotional final goodbye with his son.
Emmerdale airs every weekday at 19.30pm on ITV1, ITV X, STV and STV Player with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. It is also available each morning from 07.00am on ITVX.
