Emmerdale actress Natalie Jamieson appeared on ITV’s Lorraine on Friday to chat about her exit.
During Friday’s Lorraine, Emmerdale actress Natalie Jamieson broke down in tears as she watched her character’s exit from the ITV soap.
During emotional scenes earlier this week, Amy Wyatt died in hospital after falling into an icy lake following the limo crash, which also resulted in the deaths of two other villagers.
However, while Amy was submerged in the water, she saw someone else’s body. Before she died, Amy tried to mutter the words to Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), but it is unclear whether he heard her.
“Matty, Nate is in the water,” she whispered, and Matty replied, “I know you were, darling, but you are safe now.”
“Nate is in the water,” Amy tried to say again before telling him: “I love you.”
It was emotional for Natalie to re-watch the scene, as she told host Christine Lampard, “It was very traumatic. We watched it in the hotel because I knew I was coming here this morning. It was a very, very sad episode.”
She continued: “It wasn’t to be for Amy, but what a way to go! What an episode, what an exit.”
Christine went on to discuss the storyline and how Natalie had known about it for months. Natalie shared: “I’ve known for a long, long time, but I just think it’s so special.

“So when you don’t have spoilers for things like this, and when it comes as a surprise for the audience, and they get to watch it in real-time, there’s just something magical about it, so I was really keen to try and keep it under wraps.”
Turning her attention to the storyline, Christine pointed out: “But of course, Amy is now going to take sadly to her grave a terrible secret.
“It wasn’t just one hand down there. There was another hand, and we don’t know who it belongs to at this point.”

Confirming who the hand belonged to, the soap star replied: “I think last night, Amy tried to tell Matty, but nobody in the village knows who it belongs to because, as Amy was trying to tell Matty, it was kind of a final words, and she used them up to say, I love you.”
Fans also believe the body in the water is Nate’s (Jurell Carter) and have taken to social media to share their thoughts about Matty remembering what Amy said.
“I hope Matty remembers what she said.,” one wrote.
Another theorised: “I am sure when they go get Suzy’s body, they will find Nate.”
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
