Viewers are convinced a dark twist looms on Emmerdale, after new spoilers and recent episodes.

Anthony Fox could face a grim fate on the ITV soap if fans are correct. Many viewers believe recent scenes and bombshells could pave the way for a number of enemies wanting revenge on the character.

Weeks ago we learned the horrifying truth that Anthony sexually abused his daughter Ruby Miligan when she was a teenager. Ruby has never told anyone, and after Anthony arrived in the village recently he’s been taunting her, knowing what he did has remained a secret.

With Ruby’s daughter Steph Miligan desperate for them to reconcile after decades apart, unaware of the truth, viewers have begun to speculate that in a sickening twist Steph might be Anthony’s biological daughter after the abuse. Cain Dingle is the only one who’s currently realised something isn’t right between Ruby and her father, walking in on a tense moment between the pair at Christmas.

But with Cain set to interfere, he could regret crossing the character as a discovery is made. Now, amid fans speculating a sinister plot involving missing teen April Windsor, perhaps more than one person will be out to get Anthony in the coming weeks.

Viewers are guessing Ruby could snap as Anthony continues to taunt her, or perhaps her husband Caleb or daughter Steph will learn the truth about Ruby and want to take revenge. If Anthony continues to push Cain, might he turn violent and kill Anthony to hide his fling with Ruby?

Chas Dingle is also set to make a discovery about her sister-in-law Ruby, as she confides in her seemingly about her abuse ordeal. Then there’s the theory about Anthony having taken April amid her disappearance.

If this is the case, might Marlon Dingle or Ross Barton want to take revenge on Anthony? Viewers think Anthony’s actions and all the hints about him sparking some enemies could be a major hint of a brutal death for the character.

Some fans think Cain will kill Anthony, but others are sure a whodunnit could be lined up. One viewer said: “We are so getting a whodunnit with Anthony next year.” Another fan said: “Need Cain to kill Anthony immediately.”

Spoilers for next week reveal that Anthony questions Ruby on her relationship with Cain, and soon she breaks. Confessing she and Cain slept together, she’s horrified as she has no idea what Anthony will do with the information.

Cain is panicked to find out his new enemy knows everything, especially when Anthony decides to make a speech to everyone in the pub. Will he spill the beans?
