Emmerdale bad guy Tom King has caused plenty of drama – but fans have vowed to stop watching over the latest horrific twist
Emmerdale viewers are not too happy over the latest Tom King twist in the soap.
Sicko Tom (James Chase) has been abusing and gaslighting his wife Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) for months. She has since revealed the truth to her family and ended things with Tom, desperate to escape his clutches.
Last week though, things took a dramatic turn when Belle ended up attacking Tom in self-defence, stabbing him in the back with an axe.
Belle later admitted to attacking him, but unfortunately can’t prove that Tom has been abusing her as Tom has covered his tracks well.
This week, Tom was left startled after he realised his tablet – which contains videos of him recording Belle in their home – had vanished. Viewers later learned that cousin Carl borrowed it before Isaac Dingle took it home with him.
Isaac’s mum Moira (Natalie J. Robb) was confused to see the tablet at their home, but when she logged on she came across the sick footage of what Tom had done to Belle.
Realising this was evidence of his abuse, Moira called Belle and left a voicemail message before deciding to take the tablet to her. However, due to Moira’s brain diagnosis, she ended up having a seizure in a forest.
Later on, Belle headed around to see Moira, desperate to know what the voicemail was about. Unfortunately, Moira couldn’t remember anything from the past few hours, leaving Belle devastated.
And in Friday’s episode (October 4) Tom learned the truth about his tablet’s whereabouts – but it’s bad news for one youngster.
During the instalment, Tom suspected Carl was hiding something, and while on the way to the dentist, confronted the youngster and forced him to tell him where his tablet was.
Carl revealed that Isaac had the tablet, leaving Tom fuming. However, later on, things took a sinister turn. Watching Isaac and mum Moira from across the village, Tom told Carl not to say anything.
Appearing to hint at Isaac’s death, Carl cryptically quipped: “I will deal with Isaac. When I decide…” Meanwhile, fans will no doubt be livid over Tom finding out who has his tablet – with him currently on a mission to get it back.
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person said: “OMG it is so frustrating so far!! All the evidence and in the wrong hands. Come on Writers give your heads a wobble and make things work for Belle just once, please!”
A second added: “My heart rate is through the roof !! I’m so angry, I just know Tom will get his tablet back. When is he going to get his comeuppance!” A third penned: “If Tom manages to get it back I’m going to stop watching. Don’t let him get away with it, they are stupid as it will show other abusers that they can do the same.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
