Emmerdale viewers believe they’ve figured out how Nate Robinson (played by Jurell Carter) will depart the show after joining in 2019
Emmerdale viewers believe they’ve rumbled a shocking storyline involving an unlikely character.
It was recently reported that Jurell Carter will be leaving the long-running soap. He has been portraying Nate Robinson, a mysterious farmhand who embarked on a steamy affair with Moira Dingle (portrayed by Natalie J Robb ), since 2019. Viewers later found out he was Cain Dingle’s ( Jeff Hordley ) estranged son with Cara Robinson.
Fans believe they’ve figured out his explosive storyline that would lead to his departure later this year. They believe he will be seeking revenge on Tom King for his treatment of Belle. Tom (played by James Chase) has been physically and emotionally abusive towards his wife since they got married.
He imprisoned her in a cabin in Wales after fooling her into thinking it was a romantic getaway, and she thankfully managed to escape. Despite their split, he still has control over her after keeping a pair of her house keys. Fans noticed how Nate was close with Belle and believed he might end up killing Tom to save her.
Fans believe Nate will murder Tom King
“It was said a while back that Nate was leaving Emmerdale and it was just recently said that Tom is also leaving,” one fan said on social media. “Now if the dots were to be joined up I am just wondering is it Nate that kills Tom and that is how Nate leaves the show?”
Another added: “It’s likely. If you remember he was pretty close to Belle once upon a time, especially when he was disowned by Cain. The writers might suddenly start writing stories for him and Belle again and he might be the one who actually saw what others only saw halfway.”
One user continued: “Nate and Belle used to be close and chat about problems so I know he cares for her, so maybe?”
News of Jurell’s rumoured exit from the Yorkshire-based drama first emerged in late June 2024, as The Sun cited a source who claimed the actor himself had decided to move on from soapland. “Nate has been at the centre of some huge storylines and his exit will be no different”, the insider told the publication at the time, explaining that Nate’s exit storyline will be one viewers would hate to miss.
“It will be dramatic and explosive and will go down in Emmerdale history. It won’t be one to miss. Jurell has loved being on the soap but he’s a young actor and it’s understandable he wants to spread his wings. He’s got a lot of talent – not to mention the looks – to become a big star and leaving the soap is the only way he can do that. Five years is a good run but he feels it’s time.”
