Emmerdale fans have predicted a shock death for a Dales legend in a Cain Dingle twist
Emmerdale fans are certain the soap is about to kill off a legend as they have ‘worked out’ whose grave Cain Dingle visits.
Last year, the soap aired several flashforwards, providing viewers with a sneak peek into 2025. These included scenes of Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) frantically running through the woods, seemingly fleeing from someone.
Caleb Miligan (William Ash) was also shown in a precarious situation, flatlining in a hospital bed. Legend Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) had his own flashforward too.
He was depicted standing by a freshly dug grave, indicating that a funeral had just occurred. Cain is seen dressed in a suit, having attended the service, and crying at the graveside.

Recently, one of the flashforwards of a hand under the ice was aired on screens – following the limo crash that resulted in three deaths: Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), Amy Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi).
And while many people thought Cain’s flashforward was going to happen at Amy’s funeral, last week, her funeral took place and it didn’t play out on screen.

Now, fans are certain another soap favourite is about to get killed off – and that is the person whose grave Cain visits. Sharing their thoughts online, viewers reckon it could be Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill).
Sarah – who lives with a life-threatening disease called Fanconi anaemia – has had a difficult few weeks recently. As well as finding out she was pregnant, her boyfriend Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) dumped her. However, this week, in a heartbreaking turn of events it’s revealed Sarah isn’t actually pregnant.

And viewers are now fearing it’s going to get worse for Sarah as she could be set for a soap death. One person on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page: “I’m still saying in Cain’s flash forward, it’s Sarah’s grave he’s crying over.”
Other fans agreed, as a second person penned: “I said the same.” Echoing their thoughts, someone else mused: “Yes definitely feel like it’s Sarah’s grave.” A fourth said: “Her health condition could give her a false pregnancy result and that her condition gets worse.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
